Kid Rock On Howard Stern

Kid Rock On Howard Stern

More politics.

But at least when it comes to Kid Rock you tried to be objective, balanced and fair. I don’t know much about his music, although our band plays “All Summer Long” with its “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Werewolves of London” sound bites. It’s probably the LEAST Kid Rock song possible. But rappers sample all kinds of music – it’s still a great song.

The email vitriol you received in return from the Kid Rock haters was pretty standard stuff. The people who shout “Love Trumps Hate” are the most vicious haters on the net. They don’t want a debate or a discussion – they’d rather march, protest, shout, abort free speech, destroy property and attack the people they disagree with. The violence in Charlottesville was initiated by the left. As despicable as some of the people on the alt-right are, President Trump was absolutely right when he said there were bad players on both sides.

Who was responsible for the violence in Charlottesville? Here’s what witnesses say

If you haven’t seen it, this interview with Dan Rather from last year is a good one. I didn’t know what to expect – Dan Rather has serious credibility issues of his own after being fired from CBS for his Fake News about Bush. But both Rather and Rock were civil, friendly and interesting.

If you still feel the need to push your leftist political views – something your subscribers never asked for or signed-up for – try to be balanced and objective and avoid left wing Democratic talking points. Don’t be a hack for the left. Better yet, stop shoving your liberal politics down our throats.

Movies, books, personal stories, and even a little baseball are interesting through your eyes.

But your praise and adulation for Enimem after his Trump attack rap is misplaced. Kevin Spacey’s “House of Cards” was canceled because of one incident. Dustin Hoffman has apologized for something that happened 30 years ago. The head of NPR apologized for bad behavior 20 years ago. Even Al gore has been accused:

#MeToo – An Inconvenient Truth

“a massage therapist from Portland dropped a bombshell when she made a complaint against Al Gore, claiming he forced “unwanted sexual contact” upon her.”

One might even expect Bill Clinton to apologize for using a young intern as a cigar humidor and her blue dress as a Kleenex, along with the sexual harassment of Paula Jones that cost him $850,000 and many other accusations of rape. But THAT will never happen.

Eminem is no moral compass. Yeah, I like some of his stuff and he is very talented. But he is NO political expert.

Rap music has been attacking and denigrating women forever. Why isn’t this an issue? So Eminem raps:

“Got pissed off and ripped Pamela Lee’s t–s off and smacked her so hard I knocked her clothes backwards like Kris Kross.”

“Slut you think I won’t choke no wh–e? ‘Til the vocal chords don’t work in her throat no more?”

“I mean I really want you bad you c—t. Nick, you had your fun. I’ve come to kick it when you sacked that chump. Nick Cannon, you prick, I wish you luck with the f—g wh–e.”

And Bob Lefsetz tells us:

“But now Eminem broke the barrier down. Tonight he spoke the truth. Our truth. Isn’t that what artists are supposed to do, speak their truth beholden to no one?”

He’s speaking the truth when he attacks Trump – is he speaking the truth when he raps like Harvey Weinstein on steroids?

Be consistent and be honest – you can’t endorse someone as a moral icon when he insults the President and then pretend he doesn’t attack, degrade, abuse, and objectify women.

Trump was not my preference for president, but at least he isn’t Hillary Clinton. Her non-stop publicity tours, TV appearances, self-promoting books, and interviews trying to blame everyone else for her failed campaign demonstrate just how looney tunes she really is.

It’s fine to not like Trump – but most of the celebrities, Hollywood actors, musicians and artists never objected to Bill and Hillary Clinton’s misdeeds and perversions. They want to get on the Trump-hater bandwagon. They want the publicity and they want recognition for their “bravery” and “moral leadership” by trying to disparage and demean our Constitutionally elected President. It’s a cultural movement and an insincere pop fad. Many of the same people demonizing Donald Trump are being forced to apologize for sexual offenses and disgusting behavior in their own past. They bitch about Donald Trump as the “pussy-grabber president” for something he said 12 years ago in private. Now we learn that many of these same people didn’t just TALK about it, they actually DID it and much worse.
