So what did President Trump actually say?

“Our decision will be based on hard facts and data as to the opening” of the economy, Trump said in that presser. “Every decision is grounded solely in the health, safety and wellbeing of our citizens.”

“America told everybody to shop, so they had no savings”
NOBODY told Americans to spend every dollar they had and deplete their savings. Where do you get this nonsense from?

If the corporation goes out of business, you won’t have a job to go back to. Why can’t you understand that? Meanwhile, you sit on $850,000 and fly around the world first class and stay in five star hotels living off of the largesse of music corporations and industry conferences – you’re in the 1% – stop pretending like you’re one check away from being homeless.

The news media has been standing up to Trump since the day he was elected. Even a former editor for the New York Times acknowledges that fact:
