Tonight’s Debate
Bob Lefsetz – Political Pundit? The same guy who told us:
“Being a politician is a profession. Michael Jordan proved that being the best basketball player of all time didn’t make him a world class baseball player.” – Bob Lefsetz
NOBODY subscribes to your newsletter to listen to you proselytize for progressive Democrats and the left wing loonies.
“Isn’t Graham public enemy #2? A weasel with no backbone who does what is expedient?”
I did not used to like Graham for that very reason. But over these past couple of years he has shown more backbone than most of the politicians in either party. Of course, you just throw out your silly opinions and ad hominem attacks like angry Facebook memes. No context, no citations, no supporting evidence. We’re just supposed to believe you based upon your many years of experience in the entertainment world…
“We don’t want incremental change, we want revolution.”
That sure sounds like a lot of fun! But you got this much right:
“Trump promised to shake it all up. Don’t dig into the details of the tax cut for corporations and billionaires, look to him giving the middle finger to said media and the left. Meanwhile, those he scorns just laugh, and believe they’re better than his supporters.”
Donald Trump DID shake it all up – and it was about time! Of course, he never really “gave the middle finger” to the media – Fake News! But you’re right on that the media and the left and Bob Lefsetz – self-appointed political pundit – believes they are better than those with conservative beliefs.
“Oh yeah, the insurance companies and the medical establishment don’t want it, and they own D.C. Most people want it”
You might want to fact-check that nonsense:
“A new poll finds that about only one in 10 registered voters want the equivalent of Medicare for all if it means abolishing private health insurance plans.”
Sanders: ‘You’re damn right’ health insurance companies should be eliminated!
This is why entertainment bloggers should not be posing as political experts….
“And the government provides roads and schools and…”
Such ignorance – next you’ll tell us we already live in a Socialist country.
Taxpayers and citizens pay for roads and schools and police and fire departments. Through Democratic elections we choose representatives who establish tax rates for public services.
You seem to be a big fan of Fidel Castro and Cuba – you gotta love it when Crazy Bernie says:
“When Fidel Castro first came to power, you know what he did? He initiated a major literacy program with a lot of folks in Cuba at that point who were illiterate, and he formed the literacy brigade.”
That was around the same time he invited the USSR to install 100 tactical nuclear weapons in Cuba which almost brought the world to WW III. What a great guy! That must by why so many people are leaving the United States and trying to get into Cuba illegally – so they can get a good education!
“Bezos pledges $10 billion to the environment and he gets crap. Amazon pays no taxes and why should Bezos control the disbursement of these funds rather than we, the people?”
Only left coast progressives would condemn Jeff Bezos for giving $10,000,000,000 to the environment. Why should Bezos control the disbursement of these funds? It’s his damn money!
“Bernie’s winning.
And he’s gonna beat Trump handily.”
A lot can happen in the next 8 months and I’m not going to predict anything about a winner. But to assert that Bernie is gonna “beat Trump handily” reminds me of the prediction in the New York Times in early November of 2016 that Hillary Clinton had a 95% chance of winning.
How did that work out?
“We’re all in on Bernie because he’s the only one speaking directly to us.
You’re just on the wrong side.”
Start a political blog and ask people to subscribe, if you really think that you are morally and intellectually superior to us “deplorables” in fly-over country. Complain about the rich and whine about the poor, but keep in mind that Democratic California has more than 151,278 homeless people living on the streets of that great liberal state. Are millionaires REALLY the problem?
After all, Bob Lefsetz is a member of that very exclusive club with a net worth of $10,000,000 dollars.
You write like you’re living in a mobile home down by the docks with a beat-up car and a 2400 baud modem and think we should respect your endless virtue signaling on behalf the poor, when you are actually a member of the top 1% of the top 1%, as you fly first class around the world to hob-nob with rich musicians and celebrities while staying in complimentary rooms at 5 star hotels.
Time for a reality check, Mr. Lefsetz. Time for some honesty and integrity.
Thanks for sharing. I read many of your blog posts, cool, your blog is very good.
Can you be more specific about the content of your article? After reading it, I still have some doubts. Hope you can help me.
