The Insurrection

Bob Lefsetz’s Original Post – “The Insurrection”

Gee whiz, Bob, you can’t even be happy when your side wins! With old Uncle Joe as President, the botox queen Nancy Pelosi leading the House and Chuck U. Schumer leading the Senate, you should be seeing nothing but butterflies and unicorns in a new workers paradise with open borders, free healthcare, and forgiven college loans for all! Praise Allah!

But even with Trump’s defeat, you see nothing but DOOM in America’s future and you’re STILL blaming it on Trump and Republicans.

“the truth is America is already socialist in so many ways, can you say MEDICARE?”

Sure, I can say “MEDICARE” – can you say ignorant and foolish?

“Let’s Be Very Clear: Medicare for All Is Not Socialism”

“Traditional Medicare is not “socialism,” but rather, a model of “social insurance”—intended to protect individuals against economic hazards, such as unemployment, old age, serious illness, injury or disability.”

Medicare for All Is Not Socialism

Get educated , Bob. This is what happens when a successful and popular music blogger thinks that means he is also a smart political pundit.

“We’ve got to start canceling so many more people, that need to be canceled”

Do you want to cancel the First Amendment, as well? Even Nazis have a right to march and peacefully protest, according to the U.S. Supreme Court.

“The outcome of the Skokie controversy was one of the truly great victories for the First Amendment in American history. It proved that the rule of law must and can prevail. Because of our profound commitment to the principle of free expression even in the excruciatingly painful circumstances of Skokie more than thirty years ago, we remain today the international symbol of free speech.”

Remembering the Nazis in Skokie

Should we put Bob Lefsetz in charge of “canceling” anybody who offends his left coast liberal bias?

“Trump’s minions resorted to violence and broke into the Capitol.”

His “minions”? Like these little fellas?

The liberal Washington Post described the protests as:

“A day that began with thousands of President Trump’s supporters in Washington for demonstrations”

“Supporters” and “demonstrations” become nothing but “minions” and “violence” looking through Lefsetz’s liberal bubble. I wonder how you would describe the 1,500 demonstrators who marched through Minneapolis last May, burning buildings and a police station, destroying property, torching a low income housing project, looting stores and causing $500,000,000 worth of damage as police stood by and watched it all happen for three days? Would you profile, stereotype and generalize about all of those people the same way you do “Trump’s minions”?

Your prejudice, bias, hypocrisy and bigotry is stunning.

“As for the insane Mr. Musk?”

That’s an interesting diagnosis about a guy worth $194.8 BILLION dollars building cars Detroit could not and spaceships NASA was unable to come up with from a college dropout ski bum who writes about rock & roll and lives off of the largesse of the music and recording industry.

“You could live on minimum wage in the seventies.”

Do you ever fact check your crazy claims? Obviously not. You use this lie to try and make hard-working successful people look like the evil spawn of Satan.

In America, could you live on minimum wage back in the 70s?

“No. Not even close. Minimum wage was the “teenager’s pay”, basically. Girl working at Burger King got min wage. Guy working at the car wash got minimum wage. You get the picture.

The concept that someone working at McD’s should make a “living wage” (that is, enough to pay for their rent, car, food and, of course, their $800 phone) is a new idea and, frankly, an odd one. There’s no real good explanation, for me anyway, why we’d want to pay someone $15 to flip burgers. In the 80′s young guys (like me and friends) had to band together with other min wage earners if we wanted to, say, get an apartment (and eat).”

OMG! The stupidity never stops!

“But then inflation was out of control and people wanted change. And Reagan got elected.”

And who was responsible for 15% inflation? Democrat Jimmy Carter. Study history if you’re going to pontificate about it.

“And cut taxes and the run-up began, and the people with the money liked it, and they never wanted to give it up.”

I didn’t have much money back then, but I knew I would never be able to buy a house when mortgage rates were at 15%. I just refinanced my home at 2.8% – do YOU want to go back to hyperinflation and the stagflation of the Carter years? So Reagan is a bad guy for pulling America out of that mess?

“as the century turned, the rich got richer and the poor got poorer.”

The rich may have gotten richer, but the poor didn’t get poorer, according to the U.S. Census Bureau:

Do a little homework and stop relying on Democratic talking points from “The Squad” if you’re going to lecture us on politics.

“P.S. Enough with the endless optimism. If you can’t own your problems, you can never fix them.”

P.S. Enough with your endless pessimism. If you don’t understand your problems, you can never fix them.

Go back to writing about rock & roll. That’s why people subscribe to your newsletters and blog. We are not interested in your daily hateful political rants. You are shallow, uninformed, biased and bigoted in so many ways that you are incapable of understanding.

Remember when YOU wrote:

“Being a politician is a profession. Michael Jordan proved that being the best basketball player of all time didn’t make him a world class baseball player.” – Bob Lefsetz
