The Soft Coup
Bob Lefsetz’s Original Post – “The Soft Coup”
So it looks like your stuttering forgetful old fart Uncle Joe “Quid Pro Quo” Biden won the election. You should be happy! You should be celebrating!
But, no….
Music blogger Bob Lefsetz is still angry – liberals always are – and he rants and raves twice a week or more about politics, because being an expert in music journalism also makes him an expert political pundit!
“Were there any consequences for DeJoy slowing down the mail? Of course not, he just stonewalled, and ignored the government and judicial orders.”
You must have missed the news on NPR the other day:
“Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has announced he will suspend the controversial changes he instituted to the U.S. Postal Service until after the November election.
“To avoid even the appearance of any impact on election mail, I am suspending these initiatives until after the election is concluded,” DeJoy said in a statement.
He said that between now and Election Day, retail hours at post offices will not change, no mail processing facilities will be closed, mail processing equipment and collection boxes will remain in place, and overtime for workers will be approved when needed.

“And then there was the voter suppression.”
WHERE was the voter suppression? You never tell us or show citations for your claims. We’re supposed to take your word for it?
“Trump has succeeded in undermining the legitimacy of the election in the minds of 40% of the electorate”
It’s more like 71 million voters who cast their ballots for Trump, more votes than he received in 2016 and more votes than Obama received in 2008.
“expect very little to get done”
That’s because the Republicans have retained control of the Senate and the Democrats lost 4 seats in the House. American voters voted – more than 146 MILLION people (suppression?) – and they voted for the Congress we will have in 2021. It has nothing to do with Trump ” undermining the legitimacy of the election”. What a goofball!
You got this one right, though:
“I’ve yet to find a single voter excited about Biden. Oh, they voted for him, anybody but Trump, but when you serve up a milquetoast like this and you expect people to follow you…”
But is this what it’s like in California these days?
“Come on, rule of law, what did the police ever do for you? They won’t even come to a car accident anymore, and when you call for help they usually say there’s nothing they can do.”
So who do YOU call for help if someone is breaking into your home or throwing molotov cocktails through your front window? Black Lives Matter? AntiFa? Planned Parenthood? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Maxine Waters or Kamala Harris? That is an insane and offensive thing to say which disrespects the men and women who put their lives on the line for you each and every day.
“Wall Street skates after ruining the economy twelve years ago and what’s the solution? GIVE THEM MORE MONEY!”
Well then, all of your daily pleading for us to vote for Uncle Joe Biden was a smart move:
“People in the securities and investment industry will finish the 2020 election cycle contributing over $74 million to back Joe Biden’s candidacy for president, a much larger sum than what President Donald Trump raised from Wall Street, according to new data from the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics.”
“And all the DNC will tell us is we must appease the Trumpers…”
When has the DNC ever said we must “appease the Trumpers”? Even before Donald Trump was inaugurated the DNC, liberals, the drive-by media, the late night comics, progressives, Chuck U. Schumer and Nancy “Botox Queen” Pelosi and music bloggers who think they are political pundits were working to enact a coup d’état against our Constitutionally elected president. The impeachment farce, the $40 million dollar Mueller investigation, the incessant whining over his tax returns, the angst over private conversations from 12 years before he became president, the Ukraine phone call, “racist” this and “racist” that, the voter “suppression” silliness – there have been NO attempts to “appease” Donald Trump or any of his supporters. It’s been nothing but ad hominem attacks, hatred, and anger, and Bob Lefsetz has been on the frontlines.
“as for bipartisanship…the right hasn’t wanted it for thirty years, why should they want it now?”
When have the Democrats EVER wanted bipartisanship? They sent up a second “HEROES” relief package with 2,400 pages larded up with pork for any and every voting block imaginable. They didn’t want bipartisanship – they were virtue signaling by throwing money we do not have at every possible voter. The Senate insisted on trimming some of the fat – that’s their job and responsibility.
“Trump breaks the law in plain sight in Ukraine, but he’s not convicted.”
It’s not for lack of trying! And yet when Joe “Quid ProQuo” Biden brags on YouTube that he forced Ukraine to fire a prosecutor and held up a BILLION dollars in aid, you folks just say, “Oh, that’s just old Uncle Joe.”
Joe Biden on Defending Democracy
“Zuckerberg is just as complicit in wrecking this country as Covid-19.”
Oh, really? Has Facebook killed 240,000 Americans? How can you say and believe this crap?
“Trump, our worst nightmare, a threat to democracy itself, who has packed all the courts, including the Supreme, with his lackeys, oftentimes unqualified.”
If liberal presidents nominate liberal judges, it’s all about restoring “fairness” and “balance” to the Supreme Court. If conservative presidents nominate originalist judges, they are “packing” the court” and the people they nominate are “unqualified lackeys”. When did God resign and appoint you as his replacement? For a guy whose expertise is all about music and skiing, I’ve gotta wonder what your qualifications are for calling new Supreme Court judges “lackeys” and “unqualified”.
“Afraid of expressing an opinion, all media”
Since when has the New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, “60 Minutes”, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, music blogger Bob Lefsetz, or ANY aspect of the mainstream media ever been “afraid of expressing an opinion”? We’d be better off with a lot less opinions and a lot more facts and real news.
Can you be more specific about the content of your article? After reading it, I still have some doubts. Hope you can help me.
