Ye On SNL
What kind of crazy fucked-up world do we live in where a wealthy privileged white male blogger whose subscribers signed up to hear his perspective on music and the entertainment industry spends most of his time lecturing others with his left wing political rants?
“Industry word is that Lefsetz demands first class transportation and top-shelf lodging, and gets it.”
Nobody signed up for your alt-left lectures and insults about people you disagree with politically.
In 2010, you told us to read this article about Kanye West in the LA Times. You said:
“Read this article, it’s really well done.”
The story told us:
“People want to see him on TV for all kinds of reasons,” Doyle said. “I truly believe they come for his art. But they clearly get a lot more than that. He speaks very honestly about what he’s feeling, and it’s actually quite refreshing.”
And necessary, said Legend. For all the groundbreaking critical accolades heaped upon the artist, Legend said, he fulfills another time-honored pop tradition.
“We need rock stars in our culture,” Legend said. “I feel like we don’t have as many right now as we used to. It’s cool to have an outrageous, outsized persona in popular culture, and Kanye’s doing that. He’s also making really interesting, innovative and exciting music. We should be grateful to have an artist like him right now.”
I’m not a Kanye West fan – I couldn’t tell you one song he has ever recorded. Heck, I used to be a Bob Lefsetz fan, until you began to write ignorant comments such as this:
“But it’s hard to see how any African-American other than someone rich could be supporting the man.”
Do your homework, fact-check your own bloviating nonsense.
Blacks’ approval of Trump reaches a high of 21% and NAACP charges ‘racism’
Trump at 36 percent approval among African-Americans, new poll finds
Why Kanye West and More Black Americans Are Supporting Trump
Trump has gained among black voters since the 2016 election
That’s not from right wing FOX News – it’s from liberal CNN. So you say:
“Then again, Kanye is a cartoon character!”
Perhaps you should take a look at the “Man In the Mirror”, if you’re looking for cartoon characters.
NOBODY signed up for your music industry newsletter to be lectured about your left wing political opinions. Just STOP IT!
Or show some courage, guts and integrity and start a political blog. You have every right to express your opinions and insult people you disagree with.
But doing so consistently in a blog thousands of people have subscribed to to hear about artists, the music and entertainment industry, and rock & roll, is rude and offensive.
Show some testicular fortitude – publish this email in your “Mailbag” – and start a seperate newsletter about your liberal political point of view where you can trash President Trump, insult African-Americans who DO support him, and market your own Social Justice Warrior credentials.
Don’t be such a coward. Stop abusing your fans and subscribers with political rants they never signed up for.
Can you be more specific about the content of your article? After reading it, I still have some doubts. Hope you can help me.
Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
Your article helped me a lot, is there any more related content? Thanks!
