Tesla Backlash
Bob Lefsetz’s Original Post – Tesla Backlash
“This is UnitedHealthcare.”
No, it is not!
“I don’t know if this news has made it into the right wing blogosphere. But in the mainstream press this week there have been all these stories about Tesla sales tanking. Significantly.”
Check in with your beloved New York Times:
“Some vehicle owners are now selling their Teslas to distance themselves from the billionaire chief executive. Still, Teslas are by far the most popular electric vehicles in the United States, and some car owners have said on Facebook groups that they have bought one to show their support for Mr. Musk.”
7 Tesla Charging Stations Torched Near Boston
“And now people are attacking Tesla cars and dealerships and…”
Again, read the New York Times:
“On Thursday, federal prosecutors charged a Colorado resident with malicious destruction of property, accusing her of spray painting the word “Nazi” onto the side of a Tesla dealership and planting an incendiary device near a vehicle, according to a news release from the U.S. attorney in Colorado.”
One unused Molotov Cocktail in Colorado does not make this a national trend, as much as you would like us to believe it. And the Democrat ploy of calling Donald Trump “Hitler” and “Nazi” has been so overworked in the last four years that nobody believes it or even cares anymore. Still, it does seem like a stretch to call efforts to reduce the bloated federal workforce, eliminate waste and fraud, and reduce the federal deficit as being equivalent to the murder of more than 6,000,000 million Jews. That is insanity on parade!
“In other words, the government may be losing control of the public, and that’s never a good sign. Trump’s approval ratings are dismal. And when people feel powerless…some take action. And just like with UnitedHealthcare, their behavior is endorsed by the general public and chaos rules.”
You love tossing out opinions without documentation. Lazy amateur blogger journalism – do your homework and stop bloviating about things you know nothing about. From CNN on Thursday, March 6, 2025:
This wanker couldn’t believe the polling results from CBS News. And you’ll probably reject them as well, because it does not align with your left wing agenda and Democratic talking points.
“You can’t paint someone else’s car. You can’t shoot bullets into a car dealership. But that’s what people are doing.”
“Now you could say that people have a right to express themselves… Which is what they said to Elon himself, who uttered some nonsense about private property and I’m not saying he’s wrong, but it’s no longer about the law, but about emotions.”
You say that Elon “uttered some nonsense about private property and I’m not saying he’s wrong”– so you agree with his “utter nonsense“? That makes absolutely NO sense.
And then you tell us, “it’s no longer about the law, but about emotions“. The trumped up charges against Donald Trump over the past few years were ALWAYS about emotion, not the law. But you desperate Lefties were constantly reminding us that “No one is above the law!” You’re singing a different tune these days…
You seem to be suggesting that violent acts against private property are warranted because people have a right to express themselves over their angry emotions. And I’m sure you supported the destruction of private property, the $500,000,000 dollars in damages, and the loss of lives in Minneapolis during the George Floyd riots. You probably support Antifa, as well!
“AND ELON MUSK IS TAKING TONS OF PEOPLE’S JOBS!”
ALL CAPS!! Exactly how many jobs are included with “tons of people’s jobs“?
“Most people don’t have deep pockets like Elon. We keep reading how close everyone is to being broke, with only a few weeks’ money in the bank.”
Everyone? Less than two months with President Trump in office and suddenly everyone is “close to being broke”? Could you please document this claim?
Of course not! Perhaps you were right when you told us:
“facts are now fungible. There is really no truth.”
That is certainly your own modus operandi!
“You fire these people and they’re just going to shrug their shoulders and get on the bread line? NO, THEY’RE GOING TO GET ANGRY!”
I certainly understand why people who lose their jobs might get angry. But if they were working from home, getting nothing done, not doing their jobs, or being paid for a job that accomplishes nothing and serves nobody, why should taxpayers subsidize their income and lifestyle? Rather than getting angry for being tossed off of the gravy train and living off the taxpayer largesse, channel that energy and emotion into finding a new job that actually provides a service to the community. The annual interest alone on our national debt is more than $1,042,661,384,233 trillion dollars per year. This cannot continue – SOMEBODY needs to fix this and President Trump, with help from Elon Musk and the Republicans, are doing the best they can!
“As for Elon… He was squeezed out of PayPal for being an a**hole.”
Another thorough analysis of a man, his character and his career by rock & roll blogger Bob Lefsetz!
“Extremely qualified people get fired all the time when they’re at the top. The average tenure of Fortune 500 CEOs is only 4.6 years. Elon wanted Paypal to toss Unix and adopt Windows. The rest of the board disagreed. Elon thought it was critical to Paypal’s growth and they didn’t. He got fired and Peter Thiel got brought back. Sometimes smart people have disagreements.”
Don’t be so crude, Bobby. Have a little class! As always, you can’t be bothered to document your personal hateful attacks – but you should, if you want to have ANY kind of credibility.
“Just like it’s socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor.”
That comment is too asinine to even respond to, so I won’t waste my time. I’m sure you would endorse the words of Karl Marx:
“From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”
“And you’ve got Trump saying air traffic controllers should be MIT graduates. AT THAT PAY??”
For a guy like Bob Lefsetz, with a few million in the bank and living that Left Coast rich Hollywood lifestyle, air traffic controller salaries must sound like poverty wages, but if you had bothered to research your rant, you’d find:
Air traffic controller salaries vary based on experience and location, but the median annual wage in 2023 was $137,380
That’s next to nothing for a liberal social justice warrior who spends 57 days each year on expensive ski slopes and enjoys concierge health care services from elite Los Angeles doctors, but for me and many of your regular subscribers, that is a lot of money!
“This is the Arab Spring moment I’ve been speaking of. When the government loses touch with the public, who knows what will happen, everything is up for grabs.”
Well, aren’t you a regular Pollyanna! Trump is president for two months and you are already predicting assassinations, riots in the streets, and a violent overthrow of our government!
“I’m not saying that America does not have problems. I’m not saying that there’s no government waste. But you don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.”
Another lousy analogy along with a new incitement to riot! Nobody is throwing out any babies – DOGE is attempting to help President Trump cut the fat, eliminate waste, stop corruption, make our government more efficient, and maybe even address some of America’s own problems. USAID was sending millions of taxpayer dollars overseas for:
$20 million spent producing a new Sesame Street show in Iraq; $7.9 million funneled into a Sri Lankan journalism project to teach reporters to ‘avoid binary gendered language’; $1.5 million dedicated to LGBT advocacy in Jamaica; $4.5 million spent combating ‘disinformation’ in Kazakhstan; $2 million earmarked for sex changes in Guatemala.
Why would you be against that? Why would ANYBODY be against stopping that kind of waste and corruption?
“It all comes down to income inequality. That’s what ails America. You can only keep the people down for so long. Many on the right want the government drowned in the bathtub because they want more money in their wallet. They can barely make ends meet.”
NOBODY wants to “drown the government in the bathtub” – sheesh, where do you get this silliness from? Are you writing an essay for a class in seventh grade civics? Because if somebody doesn’t try to fix these problems, we face a historic depression fueled by the failure of the dollar and a collapse of our economic system which is drowning in more than $37 TRILLION dollars of national debt!
“Once again, if you want to see someone get angry, just take away their job. Now the entire nation is going to go postal!”
“Once again, don’t argue concepts with me, I’m just reporting the facts, which may have eluded you.”
Once again, “reporter” and political pundit Bob Lefsetz predicts “the entire nation is going to go postal” with an “Arab Spring” revolution and the overturning of the United States government, after just two months with President Trump. You’re not reporting facts at all – you’re encouraging open revolution against our government!
“We’ve skipped right past the nonviolent protests of the sixties to the activities of the Weathermen.”
“And things are much worse overall than they were in the sixties.”
In what ways, exactly? Worse than LBJ’s Vietnam War and the loss of more than 55,000 American lives, the assassination of John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr.? Do you EVER document the ridiculous claims you blather on about?
“You want me to believe some inexperienced twentysomething knows more about my work than I do?
This is just the beginning.”
Undocumented rantings, unsubstantiated claims, and violent political rhetoric. That is Bob Lefsetz’s hope for the future of America!
