Bob Lefsetz’s Original Post – “Afghanistan”

Man, are you riding high on your self-righteous horse these days! Remember when YOU wrote:

Suddenly, Bob Lefsetz is a political pundit, a historian, and a medical doctor, all at the same time.

You and your “wankers”, “hoi polloi”, “fungible”, “de rigueur”, “the great bifurcation”, “bloviators” and “de minimis”…

“Yes, Communism was the bogeyman back then.”

It wasn’t just a “bogeyman” – it was a real threat and it still is, even as Bernie Sanders goes to Moscow for his honeymoon. Have you seen how Socialism has worked out for Venezuela? Why are protesters waving American flags in Cuba? How many people are fleeing their countries to live in China, Russia or Cuba?

“And then Reagan solved the problem. WHAT? Any student of Communism knows that it fell from within, that Reagan had almost nothing to do with it.”

You are obviously not a student of anything and most certainly not political history. See what NBC News has to say:

And why is this a problem for you?

At least you blame just about everybody, including Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

“…Afghans were crowding the airport. Cool pictures, but what does that have to do with me, the average American citizen? Our airports are chaos. We’re fighting over masks on airplanes, duct-taping passengers to their seats, we don’t even know how to fight for our own lives.” 

And why are our airports chaos? Does that have anything to do with 9/11 and the terrorist attacks against the Twin Towers orchestrated by terrorist groups trained in Afghanistan? You are on a bitch rant against everybody and everything. When did you become an expert on politics, history and medicine? Stop abusing your subscribers with your crazy whining over issues you know very little about.

“We’ve got to educate, inform and take care of the disadvantaged.”

We already do and we’re adding thousands of illegal immigrants every day who now require housing, food, health care and education – many who enter this country as COVID-19 positive –  even while the Biden administration refuses to allow Cuban refugees into our country. Maybe we should fly all of the Afghan and Cuban refugees into Mexico and let them in through our southern border!

If this was true, why are so many people still trying to enter our country illegally? What a bigot!

“People have lost the power to think. Schools are so worried kids might learn about slavery, or something triggering, that they don’t teach students how to analyze, sift the truth from the dross. People are literally INCAPABLE of doing this.”

And YOU are the one guy who can lead us all out of the darkness? You’re going to teach us how to analyze and sift the truth from the dross? In-between your podcasts about heavy metal rock stars and blogging about Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber? What qualifies you for that task?

“We shouldn’t have been there, certainly not for this long. But people are so afraid of TERRORISM!”

And you’re not? It’s been almost 20 years since 9/11 and nothing like that has happened since then. It’s almost as if the United States has been proactive in stopping and preventing terrorist attacks such as that. Which president cleaned ISIS out of the Middle East? Your ignorance of the facts is stunning.
