Some worthwhile comments in this blog post. The only problem is, you’re unable to recognize the fact that you are one of the lunatics. You tell us:

We used to live in an era of authority. Oh, I don’t mean “authoritarian,” I mean we respected those who paid their dues, via education and experience, to tell us what was going on, instruct us and lead us.

But today everybody is a leader. And what followers there are are so deep into their beliefs that they hate you and what you do, whatever it is, if it impacts them at all, sometimes even if it doesn’t!

People used to know their place. There was a ladder, and if you chose not to climb it, cool, but don’t tell us what is going on, what to believe.“

What dues have you paid via education and experience to tell us what is going on and lead us?

But you think you are a “leader”, morally and intellectually superior to the deplorables around the country.

You should know your place – an excellent blogger on the world of entertainment, music, and rock & roll – but you have climbed NO ladders that qualify you as a political pundit, so don’t tell us what is going on and what to believe. Your hypocrisy is stunning. You tell others they should not assume that expertise in one field makes them an expert in another. Remember when you wrot:

But these days your newsletters are almost all politics and very little rock & roll. NOBODY signed up to your newsletter to have you browbeat them about politics.

If you think you are such a brilliant political analyst, start a new political blog and ask people to sign up for it.

But this bait & switch routine is tiresome, offensive and disingenuous.
