This is REALLY It!
You actually make some good points in this newsletter. Wisdom that comes with age and experience. You’re a year younger than I am, but we come from the same generation, we’ve lived through the same times and we share some of the same fundamental points of view. And yet, you’ve followed the path of left wing political progressives – I tend to be more conservative. To each his own, of course.
But there is no need to diss people with religious beliefs different from your own, especially since you seem to have none. And that’s fine. But if you knew more about modern quantum physics and research into the relationships between religion and science, you wouldn’t be so quick to judge.
“You only go around once, reincarnation, all that hogwash was created by people who were scared, who couldn’t believe this was it, all of it. But once you embrace that it’s one and done you’ve got a new perspective.”
At least 1.5 BILLION people believe in reincarnation, including 24% of all American Christians. Your presumed moral and intellectual superiority does NOT qualify you to declare that their beliefs are simply “hogwash”.
I was impressed that you could write an entire newsletter without taking a single swipe at President Trump or Republicans, but you couldn’t resist a left wing Bernie Sanders slam against corporations and rich people.
“The corporations don’t only make billionaires, they force people to be poor. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer and the poor can’t pay their bills and since they have no money, politicians won’t listen to them. It all comes down to money, never forget that, it’s the great motivator, what gets people interested.”
For a guy who is solidly in the top 1% of the top 1%, your disingenuous moral angst and hatred for the wealthy and successful is puzzling.
“When asked by Billboard in 2015 about his personal revenue sources, Lefsetz said speaking engagements first. “I get my income from speaking fees,” Lefsetz said. But can you earn a living off of that? Industry word is that Lefsetz demands first class transportation and top-shelf lodging, and gets it. And Lefsetz seems to get a healthy amount of invites, worldwide. How much does he ultimately gets paid for delivering a keynote, and how often? We have no idea.”
You’re certainly not poor, you have plenty of money, and paying your bills is not a problem. Between ski trips, museum excursions in Europe, bar hopping in Iceland and cavorting with the rich and famous in Singapore, I’m surprised you have any time left to write in your blog!

Bob Lefsetz net worth is $17 Million
I don’t know how corporations “force people to be poor” – you don’t tell us and instead rely on a cliche from the Democrat Party playbook. Then you tell us:
“since they have no money, politicians won’t listen to them”
HUH? I thought the Democrats were all about the poor, the disenfranchised, the illegal immigrants, the people of color, the transgenders, and every other niche group that might attract a few votes? And yet:
“According to a study conducted by the Center for Responsive Politics, financial disclosure forms reveal that out of the ten richest members of Congress, a whopping total of seven are Democrats. Collectively, the total wealth of the seven richest Democrats in Congress amounts to $1.1 billion.”

Write about music, entertainment, and rock & roll. That’s what you actually KNOW something about. That is why we subscribe to your newsletter. As you once wrote:
“Michael Jordan proved that being the best basketball player of all time didn’t make him a world class baseball player.”
And being an excellent writer and a knowledgeable expert about the music, arts and entertainment industry does NOT make you a political pundit.
And stop by my blog sometime:
