“I was sitting at my desk, doing homework, listening to WABC broadcast the hits, when the music was interrupted with the news that Martin Luther King, Jr. had been assassinated. I was alone. It was a shock.

As was the shooting of RFK not long thereafter.“

We were ALL shocked by these two assassinations, along with those of Malcom X and President Kennedy during that same period.

Martin Luther King Jr. – James Earl Ray’s precise motive remains a matter of public speculation and historical debate. He was described as a white supremacist with prior criminal activity, motivated by racism and possibly by financial gain, such as collecting bounties offered on King’s life by hate groups.

Malcolm X – Thomas Hagan was the only attacker apprehended at the scene and confessed to the crime, asserting his motive was revenge against Malcolm X’s denunciation of the Nation of Islam.

President John F. Kennedy – Oswald’s motive remains disputed and unclear; the Warren Commission considered possibilities such as personal grievances, commitment to Marxism or communism, a desire for notoriety, and resentment against society.

Robert F. Kennedy – Sirhan’s stated motive centered on Kennedy’s pro-Israel stance and the candidate’s support for providing military assistance to Israel, which infuriated Sirhan due to his own pro-Palestinian, anti-Zionist views.

Three men killed by radical left wing terrorists and one killed by a white supremacist. Charlie Kirk was murdered by a liberal activist. Two seperate left wing activists attempted to assassinate Donald Trump. 

“All the Democratic officials and the left wing press like the “New York Times” immediately lamented Kirk’s death and called for peace. Saying that political discourse had been amped up to the point where it overflowed, that violence was seen as an option and was happening too much.

Ditto on MSNBC.“

Commentators on networks like MSNBC and social media platforms speculated if the shooting was “in celebration,” and some blamed Kirk’s rhetoric for leading to his demise.instagram

One Oklahoma teacher posted, “Charlie Kirk died the same way he lived: bringing out the worst in people”.

People on TikTok and Bluesky posted gleeful reactions, and some users shared memes or used hashtags celebrating his assassination.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination was followed by a wave of celebratory reactions. On the BBC, a commentator dismissed Trump’s response by saying Kirk “wasn’t admired and loved.” On MSNBC, a broadcaster wondered if the gun was “shot in celebration” and blamed Kirk for his own murder. The New York Times’ obituary emphasized his “willingness to spread outright lies.” The New Republic tweeted: “MAGA troll Charlie Kirk shot.” TikTok and Bluesky were flooded with glee.

Political discourse on the left and from Democratic leaders have been calling Donald Trump “Hitler”, “Stalin”, a dictator, and “an existential threat to democracy” for more than a dozen years. Why should we be surprised when some left wing nut job with weapons he purchased legally decides to save his party and America by assassinating conservative Charlie Kirk or Donald Trump?

“Called for Peace”? Democratic officials and the legacy media have used lawfare, the “Russian Hoax”, Hillary’s fraudulent Steele dossier, and a dozen other manufactured lies, criminal charges and political speeches and fake news events to attack, slander, and demean Trump for the past two decades –  there are probably dozens of left wing crazies looking for the means, weapons, and an opportunity to save the United States from our Nazi Commander-in Chief and become a national hero for the left.

“Irony” is in the eye of the beholder and what you call “ironic” is simply common sense. Charlie Kirk was a national figure and the Minnesota victims were regional politicians. Stop viewing everything through your own late stage Trump Derangement Syndrome…

“And then the question was asked why was there not such a brouhaha when those Minnesota elected officials were shot. There was no flag at half staff. Trump didn’t express this level of dismay.“

Minnesota’s flags will fly at half staff in honor and remembrance of Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman.

“And how about those kids shot seemingly every day on school campuses? Why when Kirk is shot it’s a national disaster, but when our children are it is not. “

Exactly who the hell said that children being shot is NOT a national disaster? Nobody! The shooting in Minneapolis at Annunciation Catholic Church was widely covered on all national media.

“And then there Kirk’s policies about race and sexual orientation. There was a complete listing and discussion of what Kirk spewed.“

So Kirk “spewed” policies about race and sexual orientation – precisely what were those policies and why do you say he “spewed” them? Are others allowed to have personal opinions that differ from your own that do not require his assassination?

“Was there military in the streets under Biden?”

Of course not – but there were 14,000,000 illegal immigrants who simply walked across our open borders, thanks to our “Border Czar” Kamala Harris. And many major cities in America are experiencing crime waves.

Over Labor Day weekend in 2025, at least 58 people were shot and eight people were killed in Chicago, according to the Chicago Police Department and multiple news sources. These incidents included several mass shootings and marked one of the most violent holiday weekends in recent years.

“Democrats are about a social safety net. Which you don’t need to agree with. But if you think Biden was evil…you’ve never looked in the mirror.“

So if you are intelligent enough to recognize that the Democratic party LIED to American citizens about Joe Biden being “as sharp as a tack” for four years, YOU must be evil! Man, your priorities and standards are seriously twisted, Bobby!

“Most users” did not vote for Kamala Harris. Donald Trump attracted more young voters, people of color, and working class voters and pummeled Democrats by every measure. On what imaginable basis can you – a rock & roll music blogger – tell us that there are more people on this side, the liberal side, than there are on the conservative one?

“The people are not approving of Trump’s rule. The people just want to live in peace, earn their living with the government out of their lives except when they’re in a crisis.

But now the government is in their personal lives, not allowing them to get an abortion, and when there’s a disaster… Where are the weather service and FEMA? Cut down and operating with a hand behind their back, if they’re operating at all.“

And when George Floyd died, stores and homes burned, innocent people died, and BLM took to the streets burning down police stations and looting Minneapolis businesses causing more than $500 million dollars in damages. Charlie Kirk was no saint, but George Floyd was a criminal and a druggie, with a long record of arrests and charges to his name. And it was the BLM  left wing and Antifa protesting in the streets around the country, burning homes and stores, and threatening citizens and police.

“But the public? The liberal public, the majority? They see what is going on and are stating their truth.“

The majority? If the liberal public is the “majority”, where was that majority on election day last November? You’re living a left coast fantasy, Bob, all seen through your late stage TDS

So you’re telling us that Democrat liberals are this country’s “majority”, but they chose to let Trump win because people like Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders,  Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jasmine Felicia Crockett and “The Squad” are namby-pamby people who don’t want to rock the boat? Unbelievable!

He was standing up for the whites, the economically-challenged and the rich. Don’t dig deep and debate whether he delivered for these people, they believed he was on their side.“

You don’t have to like Trump, but he has accomplished more and fulfilled more of his campaign promises in his first six months than Biden accomplished in four long miserable years.

“It’s a flaw in leadership and direction, not in the underlying principles. People are sick and tired of those on the left being afraid to rock the boat, and when they do point out bad behavior on the right, there is no plan of action. Other than fruitless protests in the street.“

You’re the guy demanding that people protest and take to the streets, all the while telling us that YOU won’t be participating. You’re too busy skiing the slopes in Aspen and hobnobbing with aging rock & roll stars, recording industry CEOs, and Spotify execs while traveling the globe, visiting museums, and staying in fancy hotels in exchange for participation in awards ceremonies and corporate conferences.

“Huh? What about the radical right?

Where are the right wing violent political protests, the burning of cars and buildings following the assassination of Charlie Kirk?

“And although they believe Charlie Kirk had a right to speak and shouldn’t have been assassinated, they also know that he was spreading hate and proffered positions that did not align with the majority of the public. Hell, he was anything but pro woman, and over half of Americans ARE women.“

You have no qualms about speaking ill of the dead – exactly what “hate and proffered positions” was Charlie Kirk espousing? You just make this stuff up and expect your rock & roll fan boys to swallow it whole! Charlie Kirk is not the problem, Mr. Lefsetz…
